During this collaborative conference, an extraordinary panel of experts in innovative art & science projects will join us in Brussels for an eye-opening evening of lectures and conversations! Representatives from Ars Electronica, BOZAR and Gluon will present a selection of “Art and Engineering” projects. After introducing this growing field at the nexus of arts, science, technology and industry, they will focus on incredible collaborative initiatives as the European Digital Art and Science Network (ESA, CERN, etc), the prestigious innovation STARTS Prize (with European Commission) or the Scientist-in-Residence programme designed for a new generation of scientists interested in collaborating with artists.
Veronika LIEBL – Director of organization and Starts project manager, at Ars Electronica, the worldwide leader in inter-linkages between art, technology and society.
Paul DUJARDIN – CEO and artistic director of BOZAR since 2002. Among his numerous activities, Paul chairs the cultural committee of the project “New Narrative for Europe”, a pilot initiative of the European Parliament to develop a new vision for Europe through the prisms of art and science.
Christophe DE JAEGER – Manager at BOZAR Art & Research and founder of Gluon, an organization realizing projects on the crossing borders of visual art, research, industry and education.
Michel TOMBROFF – Artrepreneur. Michel’s interests include mathematics, abstract and conceptual art, evolution theory, philosophy, and logic. The intersection of these disciplines is his source of inspiration.G2_Affiche_2018_V9_Low
