curieucity
CurieuCity Festival, co-organised by ULB and VUB, took place across three Brussels neighbourhoods, offering scientific, artistic and educational activities. Many events were held in public spaces and developed in collaboration with local initiatives. The festival explored the intersection of creativity and curiosity. As artistic co-programmer, Ohme presented artists whose practices engaged with the themes of each edition.
The first edition (03–05/05/24), dedicated to the theme of the city of the future, was held in two emblematic locations in the Gare de l’Ouest neighbourhood in Molenbeek: Molenwest and Parc Ouest.
The second edition (27–29/09/24) focused on biodiversity and natural sciences in Forest. Ohme partnered with the contemporary dance school P.A.R.T.S and the cultural centre L’Imprimerie to present works in their venues.
The third edition (29/11–01/12/24) took place in the Marolles district. On this occasion, Ohme presented, among other things, the exhibition Science (De)Constructed at the Brussels City Archives, exploring truth and the construction of knowledge, as well as an exhibition on complex machines and the beauty of mathematics at the Bruegel Cultural Centre.
